Pakistan’s 1st UNConference 2026

IRADA partnered with Paklaunch to conduct Pakistan's 1st UNConference – a high-impact, closed-door gathering bringing together key players shaping the future of startups and venture capital. The event was attended by 120+ founders and investors, featuring meaningful engagements and a shared vision for progress.

Founded in 2020, Paklaunch has evolved into a leading global platform connecting Pakistani startups with investors, mentors, and industry leaders. With a thriving community of 400,000+ members, Paklaunch is now a driving force in shaping Pakistan's startup ecosystem while expanding its global footprint.

The UNConference 2026 was the 8th edition of the global event, and the 1st in Pakistan. Previously, the conference has been conducted in US, UK, KSA and UAE.

Harvard Health Systems Innovation Lab Hackathon 2026

Each year, the Harvard Health Systems Innovation Lab organizes a global Hackathon in partnership with collaborating institutions worldwide, focusing on developing solutions to enhance the global health systems.

This year's Pakistan Hub was hosted by IRADA, in partnership with Harvard, PATH and NIC Islamabad. The Hackathon was conducted simultaneously in 36 countries with more than 50 Hubs and 14000 innovators participating.

A distinguished panel of judges and mentors took part in the event, with participating teams from all over Pakistan presenting their ideas on the theme 'Building High-Value Health Systems: Leveraging AI.'

Pakistan Semiconductor Summit 2026

A keynote address was delivered by MD IRADA titled ‘ IRADA - an initiative to drive innovation in niche domains and semiconductor chip design’ at the Pakistan Semiconductor Summit held at LUMS on 27-29 March 2026, attended by key stakeholders and founders from Pakistan and abroad.

The Pakistan Semiconductor Summit (PSS) is a national industry platform dedicated to unlocking growth opportunities across Pakistan’s semiconductor ecosystem. The summit creates a focused platform to align talent with industry needs, foster cross-sector collaboration, and build global bridges that accelerate Pakistan’s integration into the semiconductor value chain.

Pakistan Makes it to the Global Top 50

The winning team from the HSIL Hackathon Pakistan Hub - EMRChains - qualified to the Top 50 globally, following two weeks of intensive venture development and refinement in the Bootcamp by Harvard University.

During this time, teams were introduced to the fundamentals of venture development, engaged in the HSIL Innovation Circle for networking and collaboration, and gained access to a range of resources. In addition, Microsoft provided $1,000–$5,000 in credits per participant, and $25,000 in credits per venture team.

EMRChains has built an AI workforce designed to be the digital nervous system for modern hospitals. They provide staff augmentation to reduce front-desk workload, intelligent integration with existing systems, and ensure smooth, efficient patient flow across all touchpoints. Patients can benefit from automatic appointment scheduling, along with a centralized tab that provides complete doctor information, including availability, specialization, and consultation details all in one place.

Semiconductor Chip Design

Developing advanced digital, analog, and mixed-signal Integrated Circuits (ICs) for modern electronic systems. The facility provides end-to-end chip design capabilities including ASIC development, RTL design, IP integration, FPGA prototyping, verification, and silicon-ready solutions for applications in telecommunications, AI, IoT, healthcare, automotive, consumer electronics, and industrial automation.

Internet of Things (IoT)

Building IoT Embedded solutions such as industrial automation systems, smart monitoring devices, remote sensing platforms, and connected control units that can communicate over wireless and cloud networks. These systems are designed to improve efficiency, enable predictive decision-making, and support digital transformation across sectors like industry, energy, agriculture, healthcare, and infrastructure.

Software, OS & AI

Creating secure, scalable, and customized software solutions, including AI integration, mobile operating systems, and core applications, to support national digital infrastructure and locally developed hardware ecosystems.

Surface Mount Technology (SMT)

Enabling high-reliability, scalable, and precision-driven manufacturing capabilities aligned with evolving national and industrial requirements. The facility represents a strategic step toward establishing a robust, indigenous electronics production ecosystem.

Mobile Phone Assembly

Specialized in smartphone assembly and electronics integration, providing firmware flashing, hardware testing, and supply chain management. The facility focuses on developing local mobile manufacturing, building technical expertise, and reducing import reliance

Printed Circuit Board (PCB)

Leveraging capabilities in advanced PCB design, prototyping, and testing, supporting high-density and high-speed electronic systems for telecommunications, IoT, and industrial applications, while enabling reliable hardware platforms for chip and embedded systems development.

Agri-Tech

Providing innovative agriculture solutions, including IoT-enabled monitoring, AI-based pest detection, and smart irrigation systems. The aim is to improve crop yield, promote sustainable farming, and facilitate the commercialization of locally developed agri-technologies for a greener Pakistan.
